What I Wished the State Of Rhode Island Knew...

There’s an untold story among the people of Rhode Island that demands to be heard in the rooms of legislative offices… Although we each do not have the chance to speak one-on-one with our current democratically elected leaders, this page is dedicated sharing that there is a collective narrative of the People. Regardless if you’ve personally experienced the ugliness of housing insecurity or know someone who has, there is a fundamental understanding within that housing is right. We hope this page can help others, inside and outside the state of Rhode Island, by  using these short excerpts from people of all backgrounds to inspire those to help the shared advocacy for this basic right.

"Affordable housing should be a fundamental right, not a luxury."

Thanks for making it to the end of this page. Hopefully, you can see there are endings that demand to be fulfilled and beginnings that deserve to be celebrated or even discovered.

We provide the opportunity to anyone within the housing justice and advocacy space to share their fundamental belief, discovery, or urge to the world because of the power of words and sharing it with others.

Question: If there was one thing you could tell the entire state of Rhode Island about housing, what would you say?
